This movie though.
I’m going to start posting all of my film and tv stuff over on my personal blog, so go follow that one! It’ll be way better and I might actually post more than I do on here.
“You are the butter to my bread, the breath of my life - I love you my darling girl.”
And so begins my marathon of Meryl Streep films.
This isn’t my first time watching Julie and Julia, but I cooked dinner for the first time in ages and decided it would be appropriate.
I’m in love with Meryl Streep. I have been ever since I watched Out of Africa many, many years ago. The way Amy Adams in this film feels for Julia Child is how I am with Meryl. I absolutely love this film. I get teared up for absolutely no reason and I so very badly want Stanley Tucci to marry Meryl Streepy. I could honestly just have the entire film without the entire Amy Adams story line, but there are some moments that I love (when she throws her tantrum in the kitchen, we’ve all been there..), but I really just don’t like her character.
If you haven’t seen this movie, I don’t know why you haven’t. There’s something in it for everybody. It’s just such a rich, warm film with so much heart and it makes you want to cook and fall in love!
Not a 10 because I really just want a movie about Julia Child, yes I’m biased.
This episode is what made me fall in love with this show again.
I watched For a Good Time Call.. a couple weeks ago and had some pretty serious mixed feelings about it.
I was expecting a hard hitting girl comedy with dirty jokes and a cheeky twist. Although that’s what the movie tried to be, it came out in the end as being something completely different; a beautiful love story between two friends. The acting feels really forced in the film, which is really unfortunate because I really wanted to just love this movie. It’s also under an hour and a half long so it felt really rushed. Despite the forceful and awkward (at times) acting I really liked the script. I thought it was really smart and charming. The longer I sat on this film, the more I started to like it. I really loved what the writers did with the two girls. They each have their own stories in the film and when they come together it’s magical.
If your wanting a super raunchy, over the top film, this isn’t for you. If you’re wanting a really charming and quirky film about two girls who have modern problems and run a phone sex line, this is your jam.
The more I think about it, the more I liked it. Was it the best movie I’ve ever seen? No. Was it really fun? Yes.
ohiodefending said: thanks for the follow! :) I love Community
Hooray for more Community fans! I can’t seem to get anyone to watch it. So sad :( It’s by far the best show on television. I’m a little bit worried about next season, but we’ll just have to wait and see I guess!
This is by far the best news I’ve had all week.
If you post about Happy Endings, Community or Lost… I will be your friend forever and love everything you post. So come join my nerd party and let’s get weird with it!
The sheer organizational power and commitment of the Supernatural fandom is actually terrifying.
